The Journey

Linda started her journey supporting children and adults with a disability in 2011, when she worked as a early intervention assistance before moving on to her support worker role, while she studies for her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy at Curtin University. After graduating in 2018, Linda was a community-based Occupational Therapist in regional and rural settings supporting a diverse range of people until 2020 when she uncovered her passion for working with children.

Linda has supported neurodiversity children along with their families to acquire a wide range of skills through teletherapy and face to face appointments. 

Linda's Interventional Approach Journey

Executive Functioning Skills

  • Linda is looking forward to attending a workshop to further develop her skills in promoting executive             functioning abilities in children.

Mental Well-Being

  • Linda accomplished a Graduate Certificate in Children and Adolescent Mental Health through Victoria University that included Trauma Informed Care approaches to mental-wellbeing.

  • She has training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) approach to assist with thoughts and behaviours associated with anxiety and depression. ​

  • Linda completed Dr Ross Greene's   Collaborative Proactive Solutions (CPS) workshops to helps families be able to find solutions to their "unresolved problems" in an empowering way.

Gross and Fine Motor Skills

  • She is enthusiastic about using rhythmic movements to assist brain maturation and integrate reflexes which further develops children's gross and fine motor movements (dressing, sport skills, eating, handwriting), their social skills and executive functioning abilities to promote their everyday activities.

Social Skills

Linda is passionate about working with children to reach their potential and support their families to reach their goals. She believes in the importance of building partnerships to provide a holistic, integrated and supportive approach. This enables parents and other key support people to enhance their skills to promote the child's participation in activities that develop their skills to fulfill their dreams.
